> Profile: West, Calvin "Cowboy"

Real Name: Calvin West
Alias(es): Cal, Cowboy
Age: 21 (as of 3 March 2498)
Species: Human
Format/Occupation: Computer expert-for-hire/hacker
Place of Birth: Metroplex, Earth (The Dallas-Fort Worth area of the southern US)
Current Residence: Wherever he can afford the rent

History: Cal was born and raised in the American South, though the only nod to this heritage is his attire and his gentlemanly attitude toward the fairer sex. He was exposed to computers at a young age, and soon developed his skills quite admirably. When his skill reached its peak, he signed on with a hacker group, being put under the tutelage of Avi Greenberg. Eventually, both Cal and Avi tired of the group work and split off to become freelance computer experts. When they took a job in System Vector to prepare for a System Patch, they got trapped in-system by an outbreak of viruses. The pair quickly set up a Mousetrap and secured the Principal Office from invasion. Shortly thereafter, Avi was killed by a viral agent. Cal was left in charge of Vector's computer security until the arrival of the Grizzly broke the viruses' stranglehold on Vector. Soon afterward, Cal left Vector to make his own career.

Character: Cal traditionally wears a long wool coat with fleece lining, black cowboy boots with steel toes and heels, and a black Stetson hat. He has long dark hair and a few hairs on his chin where he is always trying to grow a beard. He has brown eyes. He is young and brash, but sensible enough to avoid running into danger. This, of course, does not mean that trouble doesn't seek him out. He is very polite to members of the opposite sex (a result of his upbringing in the South).

Hacking Ability: Decent. He can hack into most systems, but he's not too skilled at it, since he's used to having a partner.

Likes: Hacking, cowboy attire, rock music
Dislikes: Mornings, cops, big dangerous animals
Worst Enemy: Senator Albert Brosky

Appears in: "A New Type of Justice," "The Crimson Claw," (in progress) "The Tempest Affair," (forthcoming) "On the Lam" (forthcoming)
